CREATE 8X8 BENEFIT EXHIBIT
JOIN US for the 2nd annual CREATE 8X8, a benefit exhibition supporting Astoria Visual Arts, June 5th – 8th. All are invited to bid on artwork and unique items during AVA’s open hours, Thursday through Sunday, 11:00am – 3:00pm, and to indulge in an evening of art, food, drinks and entertainment for BRING A DATE, Saturday, June 7 from 5:00 – 7:00pm.
Enjoy live music by Joey Altruda that spans generations and genres, along with an assortment of beverages and light fare provided by Laurie Anderson, former co-owner of the Shelburne Inn for 40 years. Guests will receive exclusive access to silent auction and raffle items available only during the event. Bidding closes at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 8—don’t miss your chance to take home a unique piece of art and support the creative community of Astoria!

INFO FOR PARTICIPATING ARTISTS
All artists are invited to participate in the 8X8 exhibit! AVA provides the 8X8 inch wood panels, artists make them into amazing original artworks. Artists can also make work on their own 8X8 substrates. Artists can make up to three pieces for the show. All media are welcome. Artists may ask for up to 30% commission on sales. AVA auctions them to the public during the exhibit to raise funds to support the gallery, youth education, artist residencies and additional opportunities for artists’ professional development.
