* THANK YOU to all the participating artists!! Over 140 panels were on display.
* THANK YOU to the businesses that contributed raffle items: Port Hopper, The Supper Club, Astoria Brewing Company, oSHEN Knits & Fibres, Bridge & Tunnel Taproom, Fine Art Supply, and the Cannery Pier Hotel.
* THANK YOU to all the volunteers that helped organize, make food, prep the gallery and keep the gears turning.
* THANK YOU to all the people who came, bid on items, and braved Goonies Weekend, and to Joey Altruda for providing the perfect jazz accompaniment.

The 2nd annual CREATE 8X8 was a benefit exhibition supporting Astoria Visual Arts, June 5th – 8th. All were invited to bid on artwork and unique items during AVA’s open hours, Thursday through Sunday, 11:00am – 3:00pm, and to indulge in an evening of art, food, drinks and entertainment for BRING A DATE, Saturday, June 7 from 5:00 – 7:00pm.
Live music by Joey Altruda spanned generations and genres, along with an assortment of beverages and light fare provided by Laurie Anderson, former co-owner of the Shelburne Inn. Guests received exclusive access to silent auction and raffle items available only during the event. Bidding closed at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 8.
