Arts for Youth
Astoria Visual Arts provides programs for youth to engage with the arts. Together they provide year-round arts education. Click on a program below for more information and to register for classes and camps.
The Miss Bea Program
Weekly classes for Astoria Choice Academy students, workshops with professional working artists in local high schools, an annual student art exhibit and a field trip for high school students to Portland.
Art Room After School
A free after-school program for youth in 1st - 8th grades. Each unit is six- to nine-weeks with four units throughout the school year. Projects range from ceramics to collage, paper making to puppetry.
Art Room at the Library
Kids! Join us on 2nd Saturdays for Art Lab, a free, hands-on art workshop! All ages welcome! Parents and families are welcome too! Recent workshop included button making, collage birds, and paper marbling.
Summer Art Camps
AVA hosts three art camps each summer in June, July and August. Kids, ages 5 - 13, create a wide variety of hands-on, nature-inspired art projects. Registration opens in April.
