ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Astoria Visual Arts invites members and the community to an afternoon of art, conversation, and connection at its annual Members’ Meeting on Saturday, October 24 at 4:00pm. Several artists who participated in AVA programming this year through exhibitions, classes, and residencies will share reflections on their experiences. Members will also elect new board directors and vote on other organizational matters. The meeting is open to the public, and food and beverages will be provided.
MEMBERS’ FAIRE
Opening Saturday, November 14
AVA will continue its celebration of member artists and supporters with the Members’ Faire, opening Saturday, November 14. The group exhibition will fill the gallery with artwork, gifts, and handmade goods in a festive holiday setting while highlighting the creative talent of AVA’s members.
Member artists are invited to submit one to six smaller-scale works under 20” wide, or up to three larger works over 20” wide. Members are also welcome to bring card racks or other merchandise suited to holiday shopping. Artwork may be delivered Tuesday, November 10 from 4:00–6:00pm or Wednesday, November 11 from 10:00am–12:00pm. All media are welcome.
Anyone may become an AVA member, and all current members are invited to participate in the exhibition. Membership begins at $50 per year. Astoria Visual Arts, a nonprofit connecting people of all ages and backgrounds with meaningful opportunities to create, experience, and engage with art, is located at 959 Commercial Street in Astoria and is open Thursday - Monday from 11:00am to 3:00pm or by appointment.
