Cannery Pier Hotel Artist Award
Julie Moore, 2025 award recipient
Astoria Visual Arts, in partnership with the Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa, is pleased to announce that local artist Julie Moore’s photograph, "Golden Glow," has been selected for a purchase award by the hotel.
Chosen from over 30 submissions for the Seasons & Tide Award, Moore's work was selected to represent the colors of the Columbia Pacific Region. "Golden Glow" will be prominently displayed in the hotel’s lobby beginning in February.
Moore is a cross-disciplinary artist specializing in lens-based mediums, seamlessly blending collage, lumen, photo-gravure, and intaglio printing. Her work embodies a delicate, poetic quality, which resonates deeply with viewers. Her poly-photogravure and mixed-media lens-based artworks have garnered numerous awards and have been showcased in galleries nationally and internationally. She is currently represented by RiverSea Gallery and Lightbox Fine Art Photographic Gallery in Astoria
This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa has collaborated with Astoria Visual Arts to support local artists and bring the region’s vibrant art scene to its visitors.
