Gather:Make:Shelter
September 14 - October 6
The Monograph Tour’s inaugural exhibition features the works of Gather:Make:Shelter artists that reimagine what it means to be an artist and community member. In tandem with their completed creative work, featured artists will speak publicly about the power of creating amidst their experience with houselessness. More than an exhibition, the Monograph Tour serves as a dialogue that redefines the idea of home across Oregon and elsewhere.
Gather:Make:Shelter was founded in 2017 to create a collaborative model of engagement connecting people experiencing houselessness and poverty to creative opportunities. Intended as a year-long project by artist and activist Dana Lynn Louis, with the fervent support of the Portland community it quickly took on a life of its own. Today it is a 501(c)3 organization continuing to grow through the combined passion and imagination of our community.
Artists include: Mark Rodriguez, marz alien, Fhad Sadiq, violet fae rabbit, Jaycob, Aileen McPherson, Faera, Tonnisha Tripplet, Fawn,Madrone
The Monograph Tour is funded in part by the Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

Artist talks for this exhibit during Artwalk were amazing!! Raw, full of hard, personal journeys and also love and HOPE. We need more of that.
