Fish & Form: Net Results
February 14 - March 8
For a sixth year, artists near and far joined together to share their fish-themed artwork at AVA for an open community exhibit. This show, Fish & Form: Net Results, commemorates the beloved FisherPoets Gathering and Astoria’s fishing heritage, celebrating the resilience of salmon and the cultural and ecological significance of our coastal waters. All artists, near and far, are invited to submit up to three pieces made using any media.
Join us an artist reception during Artwalk on Saturday, February 14 at 5:00pm.
HOW TO SUBMIT WORK: Artists may submit 1 to 3 pieces made using any media, in any size, but please keep in mind that space is limited. Artwork over 40" wide must be approved by AVA.
Artwork must be ready to hang or install. There is no fee to participate in the exhibit and artwork does not have to be for sale.
DELIVERY: Artwork needs to be delivered to AVA at 959 Commercial Street in Astoria, Tuesday, February 10 from 4-6pm or Wednesday, February 11 from 10am-12pm, or ahead of time by arrangement. Email astoriavisualarts@gmail.com if you would like to schedule an appointment or have any questions.
